Animal Testing
PZ Cussons are a partner of PETA’s Beauty Without Bunnies Programme.
“We are passionately against animal testing. We do not test finished products or ingredients on animals, and do not permit our suppliers or any third parties to test on our behalf. Our suppliers must accept those terms to work with us. We will not sell our products, directly or indirectly, in any manner which would require them to be tested on animals prior to reaching our consumers.”
Environmental Impact
PZ Cussons’ operations in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia are carbon neutral. Their ambition is to be entirely carbon neutral by 2025 and net zero by 2045. They are a founding member of the EcoBeauty Score Consortium and participate in the Carbon Disclosure Project. PZ Cussons continuously monitor their impact on biodiversity and forests when sourcing their raw materials and are committed to ensuring that these are responsibly and sustainably sourced. They use paper and carboard from responsibly managed, FSC certified forests.
Palm Oil
PZ Cussons are a Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) member and have outlined their Palm Oil Promise – a promise to ensure that 100% of their palm oil is sourced from operations that have been independently verified as compliant with the No Deforestation, No Peat, No Exploitation (NDPE) standards. According to their 2023 report, they have achieved 99.6% for crude palm oil and 98.6% for palm oil derivatives.
